Preserving nature is one of our greatest commitments.

Through standard environmental management procedures, we use appropriate technology to manufacture environmentally friendly products.

In accordance with its environmental policy, we preserved and increased the APP area, currently approximately 20,000 m², around the industrial plant.

HIGG – FEM

Sustainability is a pillar in our DNA and we are a company committed to promoting sustainable development, protecting the environment by preventing pollution and managing environmental impacts. To measure and evaluate environmental performance and reduce risks, we adopt a self-assessment system using the HIGG-FEM tool, which enables us to identify strengths and areas that are susceptible to improvement focused on sustainability.

Plantarum Botanical Garden

In 2021, we became a “Plantarum Friendly Company”, supporting a socio-environmental cause that knows how to harmonize financial interests in business, producing wealth combined with people’s well-being, respect for nature and the preservation of the world’s natural resources. Small actions change the world and together we will transform the economic model and move towards an economically sustainable and egalitarian planet, with support for quality botanical research, environmental education and conservation of Brazilian flora.

Water – Essential for life

Thinking about the well-being of our employees and future generations, we are concerned about sustainable water consumption and hold awareness-raising lectures on the correct use of this precious resource. In addition, we have self-closing taps to control and reduce consumption. We collect rainwater from the roofs of our buildings to feed the lakes.

Good working practices

We create synergies with suppliers and customers to seek opportunities to reduce inputs such as water, steam, packaging, waste, etc. We ensure organization, cleaning, storage, documentation, and appropriate procedures for materials handled within the company. We offer the market biodegradable and environmentally friendly products. We maintain an organized PPC seeking to reduce energy consumption and the amount of solid and liquid waste generated by industrialization processes, contributing to a better quality of life for future generations.

Sustainable attitudes

Preventative maintenance is carried out on the equipment used to prevent leaks, ruptures and product spills. To reduce electricity consumption, presence sensors were installed in some areas. In addition, we carry out projects to increase energy efficiency in the equipment and have a solar heating system.

Emergency brigade

We provide the necessary conditions for qualification and regulatory training, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of all those involved, as well as updating the Emergency Brigade, to act in the prevention and fighting of fires, area abandonment, first aid and chemical product leaks, aiming to protect life, property and the environment.

Selective collection for a better world

We promote actions to encourage selective collection, hold awareness-raising talks and provide specific bins for the correct separation and disposal of waste.

100% of the waste generated by the company is sent to recipients who are capable and qualified to carry out their treatment, recycling and disposal activities. We provide our customers with environmentally friendly products.
